maybe it would be easy to love you if my name wasn't in quotations as if you didn't accept it
maybe it would be easy to love you if you didn't have a track record of lying to me
maybe it would be easy to love you if you didn't steal my belongings
maybe it would be easy to love you if you thought that i was worth the time it takes to love me back

its not easy to love you because you scare me
its not easy to love you because you used to lock the door
its not easy to love you because you used to leave me out
its not easy to love you because you tried to change who i am
its not easy to love you because i fell into your trap before
its not easy to love you because you don't know how to love me back

i am throwing away my memory of you

I just got to this one....
it's definately interesting.
Why throw out the memory though? We learn through mistakes correct? And if we can't remember our mistakes, we shall fall victim to them once more.

I didn't really care for the repeated lines, but I suppose it's to get across a point...
not bad, you've written better I think, but this wasn't horrid.

this was a very personal post. i wasn't sure if i wanted to post it.
but in regards to your question, i do realize that people learn from their mistakes.
i said "throwing away the memory of you" b/c i want to. i want to throw away all of the memories and feelings that i portrayed in this writing. learning from a mistake would be for the person on the other end of this poem, learning that they need to show love or they could lose someone that should me be important to them.
in the situation i didn't make the mistake to not love or not try. so i guess it just means that i am turning the page b/c some things hurt to much to continue.
i know this is kinda rambling, i hope it was helpful though. and true, this isn't the style of how i normally write. but different feelings promote different styles.
